Ja'far Railton
Psychotherapist in London & Online
Welcome
I’m Ja'far Railton, a UKCP-registered psychotherapist offering psychodynamic psychotherapy online and in person. I provide a thoughtful, culturally aware space to explore anxiety, identity, relationships, faith, loss and emotional difficulties at depth.
My practice is informed by intercultural and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, with a particular interest in how culture, religion, migration, family history and unconscious patterns shape emotional life. Many of the people I work with are seeking a therapeutic space that feels culturally sensitive, reflective and emotionally grounded.
My approach is grounded in the contemporary psychoanalytic tradition, attentive to unconscious processes, dreams, and the dynamics of relationship. Over time, therapy can help make sense of recurring patterns, increase emotional understanding, and open new possibilities for change.
About the work
Therapy offers space to slow down and think more deeply about your emotional world, relationships and experiences. Together, we explore recurring patterns, internal conflicts and unconscious dynamics that may be affecting your wellbeing.
I work relationally and psychodynamically, paying attention to the ways identity, culture, faith, race, belonging and personal history shape psychological experience. My approach is open-ended, collaborative and grounded in curiosity rather than judgement.
Sessions are available online and in person for adults seeking short-term or longer-term psychotherapy.
